One of the older envelopes (2013) I sent into the network. Hundreds of them must be in archives worldwide, but they aren't visible for others.
In the realy years of Mail-Art I made photo's of most pieces I sent out. Complete albums with photo's are still bere. When the computers took over I made scans of the envelopes before sending them out, and with digital camera's I still document most of the work going out.
Since my start in 1980 that is already 46 years of outgoing mail-art being documented. The question remains. Why? Is there somebody else interested in this work besides me?
Sample envelope sent to Nico van Hoorn in Nijmegen. He also closed his P.O. Box and stopped with Mail-Art as fas as I know. But being creative means for most that they keep on creating. Maybe another field in the broad spectrum on can work with in modern times.
